January 13th, 2012 Finally, the temps have dropped low enough and will be there long enough, we hope, that all the main like ice will not float around anymore. We now have rentals on the fish and many private houses on their spots! With that, we have our access open to full-size vehicles/ATV's and sleds...

Looks like winter is finally here. Give the lake some time and hopefully we all can start to hit some prime structures. We are still staying very close to shore. The reports are coming in at The Red Door Resort with a mixed bag. That being fisherman are getting some nice sized perch along with a decent walleye bite! Reports of a number of "over fish" being released along with a few keepers to put in the bucket. The fish are being caught out in 19-26 fow....

Any thoughts on whether there is enough snow to limp around the lake on a snowmobile? I'm coming up saturday with a few other guys, but we only have one four wheeler. Thanks!
