Caught this guy on the mud flats last weekend. Leech and lindy rig is all we were catching them on. My dad caught a 20 in walleye and I caught this 29 in within about an hour. I was bummed fishing was over for the day, but gave us plenty of time to drink some beer.

I don't fish up there very often, but we were not marking anything up by Carlsona or any of the sand flats. As soon as we got out around Eileen we were marking fish but none were biting. The second day we went out it was pretty choppy so it took a while to get out there, but we caught our limit within about the hour.

Fishing report from the Stormy Sunday 6-28-15:

Hello to Big D, Hello to Fishnpole!

The ceremonial walleye has been caught and released!

Malmo Mike scored 3 walleyes on the North Mud Flat on Sunday PM in the Bomber boat! Sizes were 21, 23 and 24 inches caught on leech rigging with plain red hook -- and right on edge of mud flat bar 24 fow and drop off. All walleyes wre released to swim for another day. This was right before the big storm came in in Sunday morning. So Malmo Mike got very wet in the storm and had make a bee line into Hunters Pt for a dry shirt and a cold one. Some one has to do it. The storm covered a huge portion of lake so there was no out running the rain! Mother Nature wins again!

Thanks for the safe harbor at Hunter's Point as always! I later hoked up with the famous Fishnpole and Jody at Castaways so the Bomber Boat gets around!

 MM had fun!
