What a winter so far! we are continuing to deal with snow and strong winds. It's been a challenge but we have been managing the task so far. We have roads plowed to the shoreline break both east and west of the resort. We also have roads to Bombeck, Weimer, and the northern tips of Resort flats. The southern part of Resort flat has cracks and is wet. Some nice perch reports have been coming. While... the walleye action has been spoty to on the slow side. There is just a large supply of young perch in the lake currently feeding the fish. On a side note from the fishing report, we want to report how nice the trails are in the lakes area. Call and schedule an over nite at The Red Door Resort. The Waypoint Café is on site and offer's great food, and its just a short run up the road to hit the trail. Great time to head north for a fishing stay or bring the sled and hit the trails.
Any updates on the roads to the mud flats for this weekend? I am kicking around the idea of heading up Saturday and am limited as we only have a truck to get out there.
We have a road to Weimer, Bombeck and Resort Flats. We have some issues on Resort Flat that requires a diffierent road to Resorts north tip and western side of the flat. Just alittle drive to get to some better fishing areas. We plan to plow out some wheel house spots along the west side of the flat. Check in with the staff and hopefully they can guide you to which roads to use. As of today all our roads were plowed and in pretty darn good shape for the weather we have been dealt as of late!
