The Red Door Resort ice report for 12-18-13
Today we checked ice out 1/3-1/2 mile and went east and west along the break line. We found as little as 6 inches under the deepest snow areas. This same area was flooded with 2-3 inches of water above the ice and under the snow pack. We did find 7-8 inches in other areas also. The problem is the 6 inch areas along with the flooding! We were stuck a great deal of time making for a long trip on and off the ice. We have at this time no time table as to when we can plow and pull houses.
