I fly out of Denver tomorrow morning for what will be my 15th year of heading up for some R&R. Been hotter than heck here so looking forward to chilling by the lake and maybe catching a few fish as it sounds like there are fish to be caught. Maybe not to keep but still is fun to catch some.

Sorry I cannot join you Doug!  hmm Darn it.

We are safe and sound back home in Colorado after the terrible Black Forest Fire; the burn area and damaged houses are terrible and it came within 2.2 miles of our home and property. A tremendous clean up effort is well under way.

I had some good luck evening fishing on gravel bars in 22-24 FOW with very jumbo leech rigs. It was fun about half above slot and one-half in upper slot range.

GO FOR IT. smilewinkbiggrin

I will be back Sept 12-16 for cold ones for you and Glen and I am buying. I hope there is some early fall bite to be found.

I had quite an impressive time at Formica Flats - just ask Scottie and Laura ~ and I stopped by to see Tat2jonnie for bit too up by the Red Door.

MM says have fun.

Go For it Doug. Good luck dude; perfect walleye chop out there today!

Here is our view on June 11th before mandatory Black Forest Fire evacuation.

This is why I like the lake so much... smile

Black Forest Colorado June 11th: we made it okay!!!
