Okay Gene, It is between me and you and Steve. winksmileconfuse

We are stacked in there sideways. I am 1.19lbs. based on past year's catch in our house. But I cannot be there this year on the 23rd. Darn, MM.

My 1.19 prediction was for the event LAST weekend out of Hunters. I hear now I was exactly right! MM was in at 1.17, right? For last weekend?

I will quit while I am ahead and not make a prediction for this coming weekend event.

I'll predict that we will go out and fish hard for 5 hours, drill 100 holes, and not catch any perch.  Then around noon we will head back to the permanent for some lunch and the winning perch wil bite on one of the rattle wheels, I will let my friend bring the fish in, and he will win with a 1.4 lb. Perch.

Then we will go to shore and have some Cherry Bombs, cheer for everyone else that is winning, and we will go back to the permanent disappointed, and at 2 AM I will wake up to a rattle wheel, set the hook, and land the new state record Walleye!

Update from Malmo Mike 02-26-13:

I have called Johnson's Portside Bait & Liquor tonight.

The winners for the Perch Extravaganza are posted in the current Mille Lacs Lake Messenger.

The nice folks at Portside Bait & Liquor provided these top winners by phone this evening:

1st Place 1.53 lbs Perch $500 to Paul Hinton winner.gifwinner.gif

2nd Place 1.28 lbs Perch $250 to Tom Hinecke winner.gif

I believe the top ten winners earned up to a $100 prize.

These are much bigger Perch than other years I have been there -- so WTG Fishermen.

I believe Moonski (Jeff at Big Point) has the best estimate of the winner at 1.51 lbs but several others were very close as expected.

WTG Jeff.
