I have a friend who has been in a rental out there the last 24 hours and CLAIMS he, his son and his girl have 9 nice keepers. He said the rattle reels went off every half hour lastnight. I would post his exact location and may yet if he says the wrong thing to me today.wink

Perfect for banking our houses and quiet the ice down but not TOO much to keep the ice from growing and healing. Aside from a few inshore cracks, the roads all the way out to the flats are flat and around 12-13" with no bad cracking, yet and good to go for snowmobilers and 4-wheelers.

Road traffic has to stay slow. Good ice at 12 inches can support a 1-ton pickup. Add to that a 4-wheeler in the back and a wheelhouse going too fast and it's going to crack it. 20 of 'em and the road is ruined.
