Ditto, but I'm sure as I have been watching the lake cams that they are busy as heck!! I have a 3/4 ton extended cab and a converted camper so I need 14+ before I venture out so keep us in mind guys!!
I've been all over the east side and flats the last couple days. I found 11-13" everywhere I went. I saw a truck fly out to 7mile from West side yesterday. I was fishing nearby and the lake sounded like it was erupting. I just started seeing the typical little bleeder cracks here and there today. I haven't encountered any heaves that were a problem for an ATV. I think this is the best ice for long time, nice and clear.
I agree Willy. Good ice, but it's got a couple more days with the forecast to be safe (12")for anything bigger than wheelers and sleds right now. We don't want guys like the one flying out to 7-mile wrecking our roads on the east side of the lake. Right now we have between 10 and thirteen most places, so get your shack ready Rick.
It won't be long now boys and girls.
If we keep it under 10 mph out there, the roads stay better longer (and contrary to some people's belief, you can't outrun a crack!)
Just got home from a day on the hard water and we had 10+ under us in our travels out to 3-mile, the point and various other east side of the lake destinations.
