Smallies are on the chew!

Hit my milk run of spots Sunday.  Like clockwork, the bronze beauties were there.  Brown/Gold fleck and Purple/Gold fleck tube jigs.  All shoreline rock areas.  Checked Flamingo, not a bite out there yet.

Are smallies easy to catch for kids?  Or do you need more skill than just cast out and retrieve?  I am bringing my two kids up there this weekend to carry on my tradition of fishing ML for walleyes, but I thought it may be fun for the kids to try smallies.  We will be fishing out of Agate Resort.

They were biting pretty good.  Just make sure to hang on to that rod.  Man, those smallies fight hard!
