Boy, it doesn't get much better than that, eh??? Looking forward to the opener here in Sconnie this weekend!!! Turning from turkeys to fishing, what a great thing...
That would be absolutely outstanding!! As was stated earluier though, the rain gear will be packed with the warm weather gear!! Cant wait, hope the next 11 days go fast!!
I hope this forecast remains, however I can't believe anything more than 24-48 out. It is hard for them to get the next day right let alone over 10 days away, especially with wind "guessing".
The good news is that regardless of weather, I am coming up to fish. That will be a great weekend no matter what!!
I'm hoping for 60-70 deg's with some light winds! With the lake as clean as it is...your going to need some wind to catch any fish shallow. The water is super clear from the Zebra musels so the shallow fish may spook. During a sunset ride last evening....I noticed alot of "green slime" in the shallow water ......need some wave action and clean that stuff up!!! Too early in the summer to see anything like that
Get the rain gear aired out! it always rains on the opener!
LETSGOLETSGOLETSGO! 28" LAST YEAR ON OPENER. The old lady had to come last year so I showed her what the wind, waves and cold are all about and she says shes never going to opener again. Ha!
10 of us will be out of Malmo bay fishin in front of Fishers, oh yah!! We will be the loud ones so stop and say hey.
So it appears that everyday it changes, so I guess we are due 7 more changes! Either way I am pretty sure all commentors are going to be prepared for whatever Ma Nature has in store. I know I have seen just about everything from snow to 80. I just hope that they are where I think they are!!
Problem is by Thursday. Friday will have 100% rain with no sun. And Saturdays high will change to 45 with 15-30mph winds and spotty ran showers that turn out to be a complete washout.
Been there, done that.

Please turn the Opener weather button to nice walleye chop and a fair sky. No rain until the follwoing week. Perfect.
I gotta catch a dang walleye and do NOT wnat to get blown off the big water. It takes 2-3 days for the lake to settle down again. That is my story. I ams ticking to it.
Going to be an absolute ZOO out there if the weather is as predicted.....You'll be able to walk, in a straight line, from Fishers to Myr Mar and not get your feet wet.
Day: Cooler. Mostly cloudy. Showers likely and isolated thunderstorms in the morning...Then a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs around 60. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Night: Colder. Partly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Lows around 40. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday May 12
Day: Sunny. Highs around 65. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
Night: Mostly clear. Lows around 45. Highs around 70.
Sunday May 13
Day: Mostly clear. Lows around 45. Highs around 70.
Night: Mostly clear. Lows 50 to 55. Highs around 75.
At least the rain is on Friday and not the weekend! I guess I will have to check in on the Formica Flats since it will be raining!! a little more than 24 hours away, come on clock!!!
I have just come off the lake at 1:00PM and the Malmo Bay to Carlsona area consists of some respectable white caps and a stiff NNWest breeze. The temperature is mild though and we have more and more sunshine as the early afternoon progresses. YEAH. Pretty darn good.
Right now we do not see anothger line of showers although that was forecast earlier.
Water temperature was 52-56 degrees in the areas I cruised with the Malmo Bay Bomber Boat.
It is another day in paradise for the Mille Lacs Lake Opener. The wind today would require a drift sock for fishing ~~ but tomorrow is supposed to be a nice walleye chop.
Come walleyes....some see MM
