Here's the latest from the Chairman of the Board at PERM
"Within the last hour I Doug Meyenburg, chairman of the board of PERM has sent an email to all members of the MN House and Senate, and all constitutional officers, Gov, DNR, etc. PERM has been working on a study that shows the effect of Tribal harvest. This study will be finalized within 2-3 weeks. The main point of my message reflects the moderate standard of living. If you remember one of the main reasons that subsistance harvest amounts were allocated was tribal standard of living. We discovered during this study through figures from the 2010 U.S. Census that the 5 yr medium income for a 4 person household for a Mille Lacs Band member is $70,809. while a Typical Mille Lacs county resident is $65,737. per year. Thus showing that the moderate standard of living for Mille Lacs band members has supassed their non-band member counterparts. I would appreciate my friends in the forum to spread this to lake input members, as well as your elected officials home emails. We need to put a stop to this madness. I appreciate all the support myself and fellow PERM members received at the Muskie show. The handshakes and thanks go a long way. "Ban The Gillnet"
