Fellow Mille Lacs Fisherman,

I have sent an email to the editor of the Mille Lacs Lake Messenger today requesting an update on the 'Ice Out' Staus today in the hopes they will make an ice out declaration very soon as merited.

There are still some floating ice pieces pushed up near Eddy Lybecks and near Agate Bay channel -- but large areas of the lake appear to be completely open with a drive of the Isle Bay, Wahkon, East side resorts and North shore up to Barnacles Resort and the Red Door.

Per my family, Malmo Bay is ice free open water. smile

Thanks, MM

And the date is wrong on the space pic atop the page? Should be 25th?

But then who's picky? LOL
