Fishing Report 1/19/12

The fish are biting out of the Red Door Resort. Customers are catching fish on rattle wheels and using jigging spoons. White has been good as any red colors! A number of fish over 26-28 inches have been reported. Some real nice perch are getting caught also in the same areas. We have between 60-80 houses out as of yesterday. We have 15-15.5 inches of ice out in the areas of our houses. We have houses now out 3/4 mile to the south and 3/4 to the east. The Knox Point and mud flat areas areas are still off limits to vehicles. We do have a staked off area from our boat harbor to the south 3/4 mile to the presure ridge area. DO NOT GO PAST these stakes or presure ridge with a vehicle.

All our rentals are out and will be busy this weekend!
We also had a big wind storm last evening with blowing snow....we should now have some banking snow around the houses! oh ya...was almost ready to go shopping for a snow making machine?

Stop by The New Waypoint Cafe now open at the Red Door Resort and enjoy a bite to eat!
Tell'em Bobber sent ya! see if that gets ya anywhere..

I had a chance to check out the new Waypoint cafe on Monday,  and really liked it. Nice people, great food, and good prices. I got a kick out of the cretive names for the menu items.  Looking forward to stopping in soon.

Great news for the lake and north shore...

I really like that walleye stringer hanger/coat rack decor.

Malmo Mike misses the lake big time...it is now 18 days since I was on Mille Lacs...Bummer. Plus the bite is good.
