Fishing Report For 6-20-11
Permalink

The walleye fishing on Lake Mille Lacs continues to put fish in the boat for many anglers. The walleye’s are being caught on the transition areas, mud flats, south end gravel areas and rocky structures. The best presentation for this angler continues to be pulling long 12 foot lindy rigs. Some anglers are having luck pulling crawlers and spinners. The reports coming out of the Red Door Resort are still good. We are still having a fair number of fish making it into the fish cleaning shack! Over the past several days I have been guiding and having some really good results. Cleaning fish for my customers and allowing them to catch and release a fair number of fish over the 20 inch mark. My guests over the weekend released a number of fish in the 24-27 inch range. Great action for anyone that enjoys catching walleyes. The best depths have been in the 26-32 fow in the transition areas, and on the bottom and top edges of the mud flats. The evening bobber bite continues to be another option. Sitting in the boat and watching the sunset over Lake Mille Lacs is a great experience and catching fish - what a bonus
