Howdy Todd, It is a nice looking rig and in very nice conidition. I will be looking for a good 'walleye pike boat' in the early spring. I believe I see transducers moutned on the boat transom; Does the boat come with a main soner system installed? If so what type please? Thanks Malmo Mike
The locaters are both Eagle brand. The main one on the dash is an Ultra Classic model and the one up front is a Fish Easy model. They do not have GPS. Both of these locaters work great. I just used a portable GPS. The boat has rod storage on each side. One is for longer rods and the one on the driver side is for shorter rods. I added some velcro rod holders for more storage. My GPS showed around 42 MPH maximum speed. The boat has a AM/FM stereo with a casset player and 4 speakers.
Thanks again, Todd, It looks and sounds like a very nice rig. I am giving it some serious consideration -- but I cannot make any decision until March due to other travel plans that are already booked. Nice looking boat and motor and layout for sure. 42 mph works great for me. I have a large I/O boat in Colorado but need a good pike boat in Minnesota for sure. Yours is great. Take care, Malmo Mike
Thanks Bobber, It is a heckuva nice Birthday present EH?
The boat is exceptionally clean and well kept. I wired Todd the money today so I believe he is very satisfied. I have already rented a garage unit at Malmo Storage from our family friend Jeff Johnson there. My Colorado boat is a ski and pleasure boat - not right for Mille Lacs waters and fishing gear. I will send you a message for advice on Sonar/GPS electronics. Looking forward to seeing everyone for the Perch Extravaganza. Malmo Mike
Congrats MM. That just seems to be a very good deal you got yourself and with a little added elctronic goodies, I can't see where you, or anyone else could go wrong. Be watching for it come soft water season. Nothing better than new toys for the boys!!!
Bobber is coaching me on the correct lake chip and open water electronics although the boat is well set up. How cool is that? Yes, it is a very clean and well maintained boat. I am very pleased with getting such an excellent 2001 rig. I was very lucky and I was in the right place at the right time with the $$$$.
Glen, I am looking forward to meeting you at the Perch Extravganza. I owe Bobber a nice breakfast too. He is the guy wearing the helmut cam! So much FUN and So Little TIME some days.
Just wanted to thank everyone that called on the boat. I did not intend to hurt anyones feeling but I had to sell it to the first person that iniatated the payment. If my job situation was stable, I would be fishing on Mille Lacs with that boat come opener.
Thanks Sean! Yes, it is a very nice boat and I am a lucky dude.
It is going to a good home on Malmo Bay -- Hom of the big walleyes in the sand. Todd has taken excellent care of the rig -- as will Malmo Mike. I know I found a fine boat . Plus Todd has the money in his account as of early today. So money counts. I am glad for him -- as his construction work is uncertain right now. Boy do I know that feeling! Todd has an open invite to come to our place at Mlamo Bay and help me catch a fish come open water season.
Thanks everyone for the well wishes on this nice boat purchase. I cannot wait to fish Mille Lacs in this nice rig come open water season.
I wanted my friends to see my other (Colorado) boat, that is for fishing, water skiing, going like heck on the long lakes and catching some small walleye in Pueblo Reservoir an hour south of me...It does about 52 mph. It is a Monterrey Montura Limited edition 240hp I/O running a Mercruiser High 5 Prop and Monnkota trolling off the stern dirve. Special thanks to Bobber for some great advice on the LakeMaster Pro chip for Mille Lacs and a good GPS system.
Bobber here is my fiberglass big a** boat: Malmo Mike has walleye fever.
Hello Fisherman friends! Hello to Bobber and Doug and Glen!
The beautiful Malmo Mike Alumacraft 175 Trophy Sport boat, motor and trailer are now safely stored in my Malmo garage. It is a very nice boat and Todd has taken great care of the rig.
After a Friday upgrade at Lyback's Marine, it is now equiped with a brand new Lowrance HDS-7 Color Sonar Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter and the Lakemaster PRO Mille Lacs lake chip. Thanks again to Todd in Shaopee area. Speacil thanks to Tim at Lyback's Marine. Special thanks to my brother Malmo Tom who helped me get the boat towed to the lake and properly stored.
The Perch Extravaganza was quite an event but a COLD day. Malmo Mike has the perch surrounded though. have fun, come Perch come Walleye.
Yesterday, Thursday 05/12/11, the Alumacraft Elite (also lknown as the Malmo Bay Bomber Boat) had its first voayge on Mille Lacs Lake under Malmo Mike as captain and the Lowrance HDS-7 Sonar reporting water and fishing condtions.
We made a historic voyage from Malmo Bay to Hunter's Point marina and back and cruised the north shore areas.
The boat and electronics performed superbly and we are ready for a chilly opener.
Malmo Mike was glad to report water temperatures of 51.4 degrees along most fish structures on the east side of Mille Lacs.
