With the night ban on, we gotta get in by 10:00, but by 9:45 everybody on my boat had caught enough fish. (Is there ever enough?) We had 4 nets going at a time and keeping all the stringers straight was a challenge with all the tuna boat "fish ons" being called out. They get to the surface quick when you're only fishing in 11 feet of water, too. Final tally was 68 fish with 32 walleyes and 2 perch in the livewell. Beautiful weather and good fishin'. It just don't get better than that.
Fishing is fantastic. What do you have with 5 people in the boat with the bite on like it is ?? Answer: Chaous, fun chaous. We had fish on 5 lines with one net last night. Multiple triples.
Yep, guys that's right!!! In northern WI right now everything is biting!!!
Musky season opened this weekend and everyone was seeing 'skies, not necessarily catching, but seeing them and lots of them!!! Most springs, you're lucky if you can see 'em!!!
Crappies still close to shore, bluegills coming in, perch still shallow, both bass species catchable and the 'eyes finally heating up after the show storm slowed 'em down for 7-10 days. Mayfly and stone fly hatches going strong and the fish feeding on 'em.
IMHO, it has been one of the best springs in 3,4 or 5 years for catching, not just fishing!!! Organized chaos, great stuff triples not doubles!!!
