If you are going to the Northwest sportshow this week stop and visit the Lindy Booth. The new splash brite bobbers and lindy shadlings will available. For those of you that like to get in on the mille evening bit you will really love these new Thill pro series splash brites. They lite up when the hit the water, no moree messing around with batteries.
Pat, I know you had a chance to test the bobbers last year, but I'm wondering if you also got to run the shadlings. Any specific colors work better than others?
Thanks, Fife

FIFE of course it depends on your body of water the smaller Perch color was best on Mille Lacs last by far. The shadlings come in two sizes. They were tested on 10 pound mono, I believe for the smaller version the dive is around 8-9 feet and the the bigger one is around 12-13 feet. Again this is with mono in the 2mph range. Like all cranks you have to play around with your speed, line type, and length out to dial in your desired depth. The splah brite is incredible, I don't know about most of you guys but I was sick of messing with those little pop-up mercury type lights that always seems to stay on a little bit and burn out quick. I was spending 3.99 on a new light every couple of days. Last summer in field testing the Splash Brite my batch of bobbers all lasted over 40 hours of in water time. We pretty much sold out of them at the Sport show but you can find them at most retaliers now. I will bet that once you use one you will never go back to the old style of unscrewing bobber tops and adding the little battery
I bought two bobbers, and proof of purchase at the Lindy booth got me some FREE quick exchange jigs.  When I got home from the show I put a bobber in a cup of water to show the family, then found that the tongue works fine. Am I the only one to try that...
