Hi Mark- usually not much of a spinner bite going yet at the end of May most years. Common pulling rigs then is plain hooks (I like red hooks) with leech size being the other factor.

Thanks Doug,
I knew of the bare Hook and 8 ft leader but thought perhaps you guys started pulling Spinners at that time. I have tied some Spinner Combos so i guess i have them then. What size Hook do you usually use for pulling the single Hook and Leader size 2 or 4.
I appreciate the advice.

Mark,
The spinner bite depends on water temp. It usually get's good mid to late June. Leaders 6-10ft and #4 or 6 hooks depending on how aggressive they are and (leech or crawler).
Colors change from year to year???

Thanks for input guys,

Think i will stay with Single hook and Leader, Bobbers and pulling Cranks. Should be successful tools to land those almighty Eye's

Don't be afraid to downsize to a #8 octopus style hook.  I do that when I see that the fish are being pressured, or really skittish as they usually are that time of year.  It also isn't unusual for me to use 6# or even 4# test Vanish line on my snells or mainline.  My snells usually start at 8 feet and can be up to 10 feet long.
