I HAVE AN OLD EAGLE HAND HELD GPS. IT HAS WORKED GREAT FOR YEARS, SUMMER AND WINTER. RECENTLY, IT WILL LOCATE THE SATELITES THEN WHEN IT SITS OUT IN THE COLD FOR A WHILE IT LOOSES THE SATELITE LOCK AND DOES NOT FIND THEM AGAIN. I KNOW THIS UNIT HAS AN INTERNAL BATTERY THAT WAS WARRANTIED FOR 10 YEARS. HAS ANY ONE RAN INTO THIS BEFORE?

Todd,

Sounds like it may be a battery issue
The question is... Will a battery replacement be more than the GPS is worth.
See if it works when the weather warms up...if it does that indicates the battery is on it last legs.

Good luck
