Coming up the last week in May,2010. sure would appreciate it if someone could help me out with some area's on the Lake Flats, Humps ....  etc to fish when i'm up their

I would guess, or I will at least be, concentrating on the rock piles, in & around 12-16 feet of water, at that time. These can be found around the lake, but the best one's are right out of Hunters Pointbiggrin Good lucksmile

You may also consider drifting the sand ( N.E. corner of lake ) with live bait rigs. That is how I learned to fish the lake and my favorite method. This is a real zoo the first couple of weeks of the season but should be less crowded by the end of May and mid week.

To answer your question above really depends on what kind of a spring we might have. Also what the water temperature might be at that time will depend on alot of factors....ice out, spring rains, calm..sunny days,winds etc...

Normally the northend sand can be a real good option. Other transistion areas can also be very good in that time of the month. As are the gravel areas on the southern 1/3 of the lake. So you may have a number of options available to you!

Either or away you might go......its a great time to fish Mille Lacs Lake!!

I sure appreciate the Advice guys, i live in ne, southdakota. No it's kinda of early but i like to be ahead of the Game. Fishing is tuff over here too much snow nobody plows roads over here can't get to hot spots no sled. i'll just have to keep watching cams and wish???
