What are the Pros and Cons of a wheelhouse besides the obvious. Is there a manufacture that is the best of the best? I see some of those that are 20k. That is way over the top for me. But a 5k-10k is justifiable if they are built right. Anybody pleased or disappointed in a particular brand or style and why?
i have a ice castle that i love. it is about 10 tears old now and the only problem i have is the vinyl siding has a few cracks in it but i am going to put tin on the outside when i redo it.
anyone have any ideas of where i can get tin from that there using now?
Sideline, you can pickup the aluminum sheeting/siding at any of the major fishhouse manufacturers. Actually they carry it at Milaca unclaimed freight.
Eyes, Ice Castle are probably some of the best ones for your money. Personally, I would and have always built one myself, that way you know you are getting one built right and the way you want it. The main thing you want is a good frame and that it is mechanically sound. Most are pretty good, but there are some cheapos out there too and I have noticed most use cheap paneling, etc on the inside that make them look that way.
Ice Castle is a fine house and I looked at it very hard. I ended up going with the Ultimate Lodge as the materials were better, but this is all personal preference and how much you want to spend.
Eyes, I too built one from a kit that Fish House Supply sells - top quality materials, heavy duty frame, etc. I built it it 2008, have used it very little and am selling it for $6750. Let me know if you're interested.
We had an Ice castle and thought it was o.k. I think they have a new model made by a camper dealer now. Salem. the quality seems better than ice castle. The tires wore on ours on the inside. they were bald after a year and so was a friend of ours. They may have had good quality but I think they have may them cheaper trought the last couple of years. good luck on your search.
