We had a fantastic perch bite this weekend.  We were targeting walleyes, but its hard to complain when we were catching 10-13" perch at the rate of 3-4 an hour.  We were targeting the deep rock and gravel areas in 19-25 ft. and pretty much caught these fish in every location we tried.  We were trolling  #5 and #7 crankbaits.  We did catch some smaller 6-8" fish, but most of them were true jumbos.  If we were planning on keeping them, I think we could have changed up our baits a little and really put a hurt on them.  I talked to guy at the landing that said hes been targeting perch and having a hard time getting them.  He said hes been using nightcrawlers and small leeches, and reflecting back we never caught any perch on livebait in 3 days.
