jd, the way I understand it, the buggers are in the sand shallow. I would keep the kids from building sand castles, and wade out a ways when swimming. Should be OK then.
Stay out of the bays esspecially if the wind has been pushing into them.Ive never had a problem at Father Hennipen as it is more in the open and the water is always moving.I just read an article on them and it says they come from snails and it didnt mention Duck poop like I have heard before.It also said to put on lotion before swiming and towel off well and shower after.It also mentioned spaying on insect repellant with deet to kill them.I got some of these once and they are not fun.
