Was on the water Thursday through Sunday this weekend. Thursday and Friday the bite was pretty good. With the wind blowing we were able to pick up allot of fish on the rocks in 11-13 feet of water. Rigging leeches from Fischers down towards Agate was also putting fish in the boat. With the big winds on Saturday fishing was a bit tougher, since the MTT was canceled we decided to trailer to the north end of the lake and try to get out. The winds was still rough up there and the sand bite was slow. We only caught a couple of fish up on the sand Saturday afternoon. Sunday, the morning bite was okay, but not great we caught some fish that were to big to keep then it just shut down on us when the wind laid flat and the bright sun came out. Judging by the weights and limits of the MTT on Sunday we were not alone in finding that the bite was tough. I checked some mud spots and the fish have not moved out there yet, but should shortly as they are pulling off the sand now. The night bite sunday night was okay corking shallow rocks caught some fish but it was not lights out. Hopefully it picks up here with some warm weather this week. Good luck to all this week and have a safe memorial weekend.
thanks for the report. I appreciate you guys that take the time to give out a little bit of information to us that only get up to that awesome fishery a few times a year. It really makes our time up there more enjoyable if we have something to start with on usually short stays.
