Will there be weekly fishing reports for the pond on this site?  I know Roach had reports during the winter, but couldn't remember if that was a summer time thing too.

Based on the water temps the guys are reporting, nope.  The majority it would seem are done, but I would rather catch them before, they are much prettier!!!  Good luck and be safe out there this weekend guys!!!

Just got back home in the cities after a day on the lake. Best opener in years. A slow start, but we got our limit by around 9 PM, along with some nice jumbo perch in the 11"-12" range. We launched out of Agate bay on the east side and stayed on the rocky reef just outside of the launch.

Look for the 11'-13' spots during the evening. Bobbers tipped with 1/8 oz jigheads and large leeches. I used the glow in the dark jighead with orange eyes. I could not keep the 'eyes off my line for a good 45 minutes!

Good luck everyone!

Excellent opener North End Sand fantastic. Only problem was fish are all to big, average lenght 18"-26". Kept 9 fish for two boats. Caught 45 fish on Saturday. Anyone know where the eaters are? I,m guessing the rocks but havent been there yet. Caught a few on minnows with the majority coming off leeches. 16 ft to 22 ft. Couldnt find anything close into shore up on the sand. Water temp up on the sand 45 degrees. Sunday morning really slowed up, I,m guessing all the pressure with the cold front finnally settling in shut,em down a little. should be a excellent year on the big lake.

Good to hear Tommy and Cody did so well this weekend.  Two other reports that I had were not that good.  In fact, one boat only caught one fish and they are veterans to Mille Lacs openers.  The other only had eight fish all weekend.  Both of these boats were on the Malmo sand.  It will be great to get a few more comments on here about the fishing opener.

Looking forward to fishing there this next weekend.

We had a some success on Saturday morning, nine fish ranging 15"-24", three keepers in the four hours we fished before the rain came. I'm looking forward to going up for the weekend next time.

My quick report is.....I think it is a week early for the really good bite... Hit the water 7:30AM saturday morning until about 2PM, fished the rock piles and had about 4-5 "lightbites" nothing boated. Hit the water again saturday evening around 7:30, again in the rocks on the eastside in 13 fow. Caught our first fish about 8:15, a 25.5 incher. Ended up catching 3 more, 2 15" & a 17 1/2". I thought I was on my spot, but when some buddies pulled in, about 70 feet inside of us, they had lots of action. I know for sure they boated 7 walleyes and I would gues missed just as many. I do believe this weekend should be better.. water temps ranged from 47'-50'. I think once it gets about 50' consistently across the lake, look out !!!! Good luck to everyone.
