Battery Question
Permalink

Might seem like a dumb question but..I have (2) 12V deep cycle batteries on board for my trolling motor. If I jump connect the Pos to Pos, and the Neg to Neg will my output be 12V or 24V? I thought if I connect both batteries together I would have equal drawdown on each. Any thoughts?

Hooking them up like that is called "in parralel"

you get 12V and additional cranking power!!

works great, when you don't have a 24V motor..

Thanks Bobber, that's what my thought process was. Just wanted clarification as opposed to electrocution.......My motor is 12V so this will work.

you can hook as many together as you want --going pos  to pos  and neg  to neg  and you still will have 12v. --but lots more  amps--- pos  to  neg--will give you 24v.
