Roads/Flats

Planning a trip up for Saturday and trying to put together a plan of attack.  What flats are accessible from Hunters roads?  We are limited to road access and foot traffic from there.  Any help is appreciated.

Is it still snowmobiles or is the snow getting packed down enough for a wheeler?

Thanks for the info!

By the way, your roads to the flats are awesome. My first time out there on your roads this morning, I could have made it even if I was driving a Pinto! You guys are doing a great job.

I had originally called a resort on the NW corner of the lake, since they used to have pretty good roads years ago. Two minutes on the phone with them yesterday reminded me why I never went back.

BTW, I had my 4 walleye limit by 10 AM, plus a couple small throwbacks and a keeper that I lost in the hole. I should have left after that, the rest of the day was pretty dead. I did catch a couple nice tulibees to smoke, but when my back was turned an eagle made off with one of them. . .

Yep great job on the roads!!! making it with a pinto is no stretch. On Thurs, even with the wind blowing a little it looked like the trucks were keeping up with the drifting , no problem, we were out on 9 mile, picked up a few, but a serious auger problem keep us from moving to the fish, but the good roads made it very enjoyable, thanks again for your perserverance against the ice gods.
