One Spoon-What is it?

If you had only one spoon to jig on the great lake of Mille Lacs during the ice fishing season, what would it be?

Mine would have to be the Blue Fox in 1/8 oz or 1/16 oz glow fire tiger. I have caught many jumbos and eater walleyes on these spoons during prime time.

I'd go with J.R.'s new clear plastic spoon with the color inserts that weigh next to nothing. Don't know the name of them, but I'm going to call Joel tommorrow and order a dozen in my favorite colors!!biggrin.gif

I like either a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jigging spoon. The orange/yellow glowing colors have been good for me. The firetiger color has produced well also!!

Scenic Tackle and Jr's make some great jigging spoons for Mille Lacs!! oh, and I can't forget the good old weasel from JB's lures......they are pretty good sometimes also

I've got quite a few of the JR's Tackle spoons...I'm sure I will put a few more in the "aresenal" this year.

I have to give them a call and get a couple replacements!

Go Devil in 1/8 or 1/4......
    #1 - Fire Tiger
    #2 - Orange/Yellow
    #3 - Green/Yellow

I've also iced many fish using a silver Sweedish Pimple with the green prism on one side.

1/12oz and 1/8oz Kastmaster by Acme Tackle. 50/ 50 silver/ metallic green, green glow, red glow, or plain gold. Excellent for 'eyes, perch, northern, and crappie. It does the whole ball of wax. Bro showed me that one at Cass a few years ago and I've used them since on Mille Lacs, Gull, Winnie, and Leech. A real killer...
