Everyone have the Ice gear ready? Houses ready to get pulled out? Looked like a few houses had some major additions and work done on them this summer. Time to spool up the ice poles and fire up the auger to see if all is good. Won't be long now. Let's hope we get some good ice before a big snow to avoid last years water everywhere.
I was spooling my reels with some new 2 & 4 lb Vanish last night! I also replaced some hooks on some spoons. I just need to make a list of what I need that is new or needs replacing!
I also did some minor modifications to my Guide this fall. Since I mainly fish by myself or with others that have portables, I changed some things around. Check out the pictures!
I put a small table in my Frabil portable a couple of years ago...tired of wasting time searching for my stuff! Nothing fancy, but definitely helped. I think your light idea is great. I keep throwing my mag-lights down the hole. Got so bad I had to carry backup flash lights.
