Was out Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. Started Saturday morning on the southeast end, but wind and waves made it diffiuclt to do much else but fish the bays, didn't see a fish. Trolled the north end Saturday night and picked up a nice 46" muskie in a about 7ft. of water. There were a lot of guys(20 boats) up there trolling and casting at depths from 5ft to 13ft. Most of the weed growth seems to be right around 10.5 to 12.5 ft., but not consistant down the break. We didn't see any other fish boated. And yes the fish flies were unbelievable Sat. night! It was beyond swarms, worst I have ever witnessed. We felt sorry for the guys looking to lauch as we were coming in. Sunday morning we worked Vineland and had two nice fish(upper 40's) follow but they wouldn't hook up. We caught some nice northerns(upper 30's). We saw one boat bring in a smaller muskie trolling the bay. The water temp is behind for this time of year and based on what I saw in Vineland bay and the other bays, so is the weed growth. I think the best bay fishing is yet to come in August with warming water and increased weed growth. I probably won't get up there again until late August, so I'll be watching the reports from you guys who fish next month. Happy hunting.
