I wanted to take a second and thank everyone at Hunters Point for making the 4th Annual Simon Invitational a great one. All 11 guys had a blast all weekend.
The winning fish was a 1lb 6 oz Perch (actually the winner caught two of the same size!). All in all, we caught plenty of perch during the afternoons for those that wanted a fish fry when they got to their respective homes. No walleyes were caught, but then again, we weren't really targeting them. Our advice to target some of these jumbos...move a lot and jig hard. A camera was very benefical as are electronics. It was almost split down the middle as far as set lines and jigging for catching "keepers".
Some of you may have saw us around the bar in the evenings, and as you may or may not have seen everyone had a great time.
Thanks again to Cassie, Laura, Dee, Jason, and George for looking after us and showing us what a great time a group can have. I would and have recommend Hunters Point for a small or large group looking to have some fun and catch some fish along the way.

I agree with Irish Jigs we had a great time and thank George and his crew. The new homemade pizza was great. I did get into the perrrrrrch on Sat. and caught (2) 1lb 6oz perrrrrrch to win the contest. Better luck next time Jigs:) Some of the Perrrrrch spit up little 1 inch of there own along with shrimp. I caught half of the Perrrrrch on waxies and half on fatheads. Fished in my portable from 10am til 6pm and kept my limit.
It was good to meet you as well. We also talked to Tony on Thursday morning for a little while. I'll be up again this weekend...maybe see you on Saturday evening?
Once again, anyone who is looking to have a successful trip or just to get to know the lake a little better, the guides out of Hunters are second to none. Have an open mind, and there's not a doubt in my mind that you will catch fish.
