The past weekend bite for perch and walleye existed on and off. There where reports of alot of fish present, but getting them to bite was another story. The cold front may have contributed to that. Fishing on top of the rock humps produced best. Our ice is getting better with the cold but with the snow amounts the process has slowed considerably. We have a light truck plowing roads. We are open for snowmobile and ATV traffic at this time. Please check in at the resort and get the latest report on conditions.
On a side note. We had to turn the time down on the camera image refresh to conserve bandwidth for the website until Dec 17th. We will reset it then. The report will be updated later in the week.
The lake guys just got in from staking the road out to the Lakeside 2 mile reef area. They found the ice depth to be from 8-10 inches along this route. They plan to continue to stake lake roads today.
I am planning on making it out with the fishing gear this afternoon. Hope to report back some reports!!!
Glad to hear you guys are still getting that road out there. Couple more weeks and I'll be up there. Do you think, if this weather pattern keeps up, that we'll see enough ice to be driving out by christmas? Thanks for the reports guys.
