I've been drving a launch on Mille Lacs for over 30 years, and no matter what the DNR's poltical reasons for claiming otherwise are, the past three years the lake has had more walleyes in it than I've ever seem. This year's night bite has been the steadiest for the longest time I can remember, and right now is excellent for this time of year.  And this year we get to at least keep a walleye, tho the slot makes no sense, and we have no July walleye fishing closure nor the no live bait nonsense of recent years past
