Went out last Saturday only a half mile out, drifted over some rocks, caught a 20 1/2 incher. 15 minutes. said to self ...wished I brought my clubs. one group at the dock saw me go out and they were still getting ready when I came back in, it was kind of funny. I will be up Thursday night.
The water temp is right around 56 degrees. While the smaller fish are still clinging to shallow rocks, the larger, more well fed fish are starting to slide off to deeper water. The big wind and rain from last weekend has turned the lake over and set the stage for a good weekend for walleyes and those huge smallies.
looking forward to some evening fishing, hopefully its still going on. Caught some12-15" fish on opener just before dark. Good fun for my 9 yr old daughter to learn.
My boat got out Friday and Saturday evening at 7pm to 9:30. We had moderate success. We got some fish in the boat. We fished rocks in 15ft. On Sunday night a friend was out and boated about 40 walleyes with one keeper.
Ready to go back, It was a fun time. Look at that blue backdrop on Friday night.
