The water temp is falling. It won't be long and we'll be making ice.

When was the last time you were out on the ice before Thanksgiving?

Could happen this year............

40 degrees and falling, folks.

I've been watching the water temperature over on MNLakecams just about every day. In my lifetime I think I've only been out on the ice, fishing acouple of times by Thanksgiving. Very rare to have the main lake ice and having enough to fish....Isle & Wahkon bays would be earlier options.

It could still get into a warmup and allow for some yard work around the resort to be completed!

I noticed that Malmo Bay had a fairly good coating of skim, too. Right after I passed Bobber on the way to work this morning.

Report from up north are encouraging, too. That'll mean quick water cooldown = early ice fishin'!!!
