My bet is the sportsmen and women will end up losing more. DNR will cow tow to the tribes in the end. Maybe its time to let the tribes promiscuous fish with hook and line and ban the nets? We gotta keep the pressure on or will lose more Bite as been good but ever saw so many skinny and sickly looking fish.

If they can keep the talking out of the courts, might be a chance that the correct thing could be done, thats my take on it, yes...no???? seems the people that are the least informed have the biggest say in decisions.

This is the news we have all been waiting for! The beginning of the end? I encourage everyone to send emails of thanks to the DNR and Star Tribune. I think still the more people are pounding the sources the more it will happen! I think the walleyes in the lake are celebrating bigtime right now! Thanks again to this great site for Allowing discussion and educating people of this netting problem on Mille Lacs.

Happy to hear something is being addressed.  Who knows how it will turn out in the end.  It could still get worse before it gets better, so hold off on celebrating too much on this.

We had another fun weekend on ML, however only one fish under 17" this weekend.  Seems like walleye meals from ML are not going to happen this year for me.
