WOW, thats all I can say!  No matter where we went we had the best of luck.  Not 1 keeper!  Although I kind of do wish we would get some, the fish fry supply is not looking to promising lol.

Same with us.  I took kids out fishing on first ML walleye trip.  Lake cooperated with us.  However, not a single keeper.  Kind of sucks when my kids were fired up to have a fresh fish fry, but they both caught big eyes to make up for it.

fished 3 days caught a bunch of eye balls but only managed 5 keepers in 3 days of non stop hard fishing. I think the size of these fish and their heads are huge but body is slim - reminds me of 1990's when they where starving , no bait fish and no 16" year class - It may get much tougher - enjoy now.

We haven't come across the sad looking fish...good thing. They have all been pretty healthy except the one we pulled up that looked as though he had a fresh brawl with a musky. He was pretty bloody but will be fine.

I have been lucky enough to spend most of the last 2 weeks fishing Mille Lacs.  As others mentioned, the bite is great.  If you are looking for eaters, give spinner blades a try out on the mud flats.  We have been getting all different sizes of fish, but 1/3 have been under 17 inches.
