Tuesday morning the floor of my buddy Gary's wheelhouse shook with the sound of a freight train running under the house. I looked over at Sandman and said, "Now THAT was a crack!" People on shore were reporting their walls shaking the pictures on 'em.
We didn't know it then, but THAT was probably the crack that broke off the piece that all the fishermen fishing out in front of Wealthwood got stranded on.
Take a look at the top left of the first map on the 20th...
See where the crack is?
Now take a look at the next picture of the 22nd.....
There is a sliver that broke off cloer to shore. That's where everybody got stranded....on THAT sliver.
There was a stiff northwest wind last night.

Sooooo then, here's a space shot of the lake for the last two days. You'll notice the ice cube better with a dusting of snow on it. It's still bouncing around like an air hockey puck.
