Bug hatches go on at Lake Mille Lacs almost ALL nights of the summer--from late May until the water cools below 60. So--yes, no matter when you ask during the summer, there is a bug hatch going on. Under the lights at my place, plenty of bugs every moring this past week and I assume that will continue for a few more days or even weeks.
Bug hatches , in my meager experience, do not hurt fishing one bit.
LOL Yup! I've seen those "Roaches" on the west-side quite a bit the past few weeks.

I'm not worried about the fishing. Just have two young kids and they don't have much patience for the bugs yet...

I agree with the kids! LOL I ain't mad enough at the fish to go after them in the bugs after dark.
