The activity around the lake has been on the slow side. I think many folks are preparing for the up coming school year. Those fisherman that have been out on the water have had some luck. Reports are coming in with walleye being caught in the evening with slip bobbers and leeches. Also some reports of walleye being caught on small crank baits pulled over the shallow rocks in the evening. The shoreline break out front of the Red Door Resort has also kicked out some fish on lead core while pulling crank baits. These fish have been caught in the 26ft.-28ft. depth areas.
Thanks for the report Bob. I was wondering when the fish will start in the shallows. Last time I was up I seen boats out after dark trolling. The count down is on for the fall troll bite. Let's get that water below 60 and game on. I for one can not wait. I will be up this weekend trying different methods.
