The reports are starting to slow down around the resort. I have had some success rigging fish on the mud flats and pulling crack baits on lead core. I have also had some slow days in the mix. The mud flat bite for this angler has been early in the day. The edges of the flats have been better than on or off the structures. This past week I had the opportunity to guide a group of fellas from Kansas City and St. Louis. Over the course of the two day trip we managed to catch enough walleye to send the boys home with their limit. Along with some great fishing pictures with some stories attached. The shallow rock slip bobber bite is another good option. This past week we had a few walleye caught along with some dandy smallmouth in the shallow rocks out front of the Red Door Resort. If you are thinking about a late summer fishing trip before the summer comes to an end. Make you plans and head up north. The fish are still here waiting for you! Good luck...
