The walleye fishing has slowed up some on Mille Lacs Lake this past week. It’s no longer fantastic but now only pretty good! The fish are getting caught on long lindy rigs tipped with large and jumbo leeches. The crawler spinner bite is taking off pretty well also. A few fishermen are starting to pull lead core and cranks out on the flats and deep areas off the structures. Reports are of a number of bigger fish being caught. I would recommend looking for fish on your graph before spending much time fishing. The fish are moving around and can be found at times on top of the structures and off of them. I have found active fish a hundred yards off the structure. Don’t forget the evening bobber bite in the shallow rocks. We are still having some pretty good luck anchoring up and bobber fishing at dusk. The water temperature has now reached the 70 deg. mark. With this warm up the smallmouth have turned on! Reports are coming in of some really good action casting tube jigs in the shallow rocks.

A Nice and factual report as always and a very nice fish for Phil.
Malmo Mike will be home very soon to catch some more of the incredible Mille Lacs walleyes. Obviously, I cannot wait and the Malmo Bay Bomber Boat wants to get out there too.
Keep up the great fishing!
The Bomber Boat wants to go out to the secret gravel bar...
