Cassie Nitti hooked this bone just as you see it in the picture on Saturday. The sheriffs dept has it now and she will find out what its from soon. Pretty strange stuff. Way to go Cassie.
My prediction is that it's a leg bone from a deer that was buoyed on three mile reef to attract leeches for fishing. When the old-timers needed more bait, they'd just drive their boat over to the buoy, pull it up and pick off some more leeches............. Either that or they just found Jimmy Hoffa.
