A group of us joined the open launch Saturday night 6-10pm. We had a great time and the fishing was good. Ta2jonnie put us right on the fish and he started netting. Here is a video my wife shot. I didn't get very good pictures of the fish at the end of the trip, sorry. We fished 30 ft with leeches under a bobber.

Way to go Doug.
Way to go Tat2jonnie.
Right on the fish Jon! Nice walleye. Way cool.
Are we havin' fun now?
I owe you a cold on shore Jon -- when you get off launch duty. My next visit home Jon, I am on your launch dude. I know how to do the rest.
Malmo Mike says hello !

Always welcome aboard the Pride of Mille Lacs, Mike.
Bring along that fly rod of yours  and we'll see if we can hook you up on a 32-inch walleye with it.
(That'll put on a pretty good show for the rest of the crowd!)

It is a deal Jon!
biggrin
I will bring my Sage fly rod (we have to use them in Colorado streams to float a fly) and my Fenwick walleye rods. WOW a 32-inch walleye works. My largest last year was a 29-inch willie Walleye in Malmo Bay. I'll show you the rock pile.
We cannot go wrong with you running the Pride of Mille Lacs.
See ya, Malmo Mike

You'd be taking about Pilander's rock pile. Not many know about that one. I've got alot of big ones at that one......good spot.

Yes, Jon I believe that is the one.
You're a helluva good guy.
I cannot wait to go fishing on the Pride of Mille Lacs with ya.
My brother Don is up at the lake tonight at our nice place there near Castaway's Resort. You cannot beat those Malmo Bay brothers ... he will be on the lake tomorrow (after the yard work) in his big 23-foot Crown Line. Holy Moly that boat goes.
See you soon I am hoping, Malmo Mike
