Any thoughts on what to expect. The warmer water should help, maybe not freeze my @ss off this year at 3am. I do not think I have ever fished in water in the 55 + range on opener. Good chance of that this year.
Tony talked about flopping the camera in and seeing where he finds fish. Will be a interesting report from him next week. Will tell us a little bit about what the fish are up to.
The little gnats of the non-biting variety are hatching right now. Tony has a good tip on the 25+ foot structure with these conditions, i.e. 50 degree temp, etc. Time to check out where the "pack" slid off to. I'll be getting the Crestliner in tomorrow up here on the north end. We got so many 10"- 12" (that were returned unharmed to the lake) last year that I've got to think we'll have a good spring for 14"-16" this year. (Walleyes grow 4" a year)
hey guys! new member here! i'll be drifting a few hundred yards off shore in front of twin pines with a few hundred other boats... same thing every year! expecting minimal results... last year.......4 keepers in the slot!
