Harbor has open water!!

The ice went out of my boat harbor this am! That is acouple of weeks earlier than normal.

I would predict that the main lake will be open sometime during the second week in April !

That should allow the lake to warm up for the May opener! Should make for a really good opener.

I also heard some frogs while out for a walk the other evening! That normally means the fish are spawning in the creek!!

But...its Minnesota, it could snow next week and change things again???

Thanks Bobber. It sure looks like an early ice out and better water temperatures for the Opener. Good report. I hope you do not get the tale end of the two March blizzards we had in Colorado in the past week. OUCH. Out here I have snow banks everywhere. See you memorial Day weekend to catch the walleyes at Hunter's. biggrin

the frogs are a croaking in "MY" ditch back in the woods.  I don't have to share my ditch, as we all have our own!!!  LOL

From the looks of the Ice last night out in front of Hunter's Point, we'll be getting the docks in by then. We should do a time lapse of THAT event!

Tat2Jonnie,

Recognize that picture, that was one cold windy day late in June.  Tough day for Walleye, but you put us on a couple that day.
