The ice fishing report for the weekend of Jaunary 29th was slow...slow...slow on perch and walleye. Anglers moving around even had a very difficult time and if anything, caught small perch.
A couple walleye caught Friday PM - one was a nice 26" but other than that, it was a bit frustrating for those that were out.
There were about a dozen people fishing crappies and sunnies in Isle Bay and reportedly did decent. Sunnies were 8-9" and crappies were around 12".
I will post again as the week continues - with the warm up we are hoping to see an improvement on the bite - we hope the fish don't beat us again this weekend! A house yesterday had 4 small perch which isn't a lot but is 3 more than anyone had last weekend so it looks like an improvement already. We are fishing 28'-30' - this time last year the perch bite picked up nicely as we headed into warmer weather - we'll keep you posted. Thanks!
I was up there this last weekend friday the 29th about one till sunday the 31st till noon only about 4 other houses out there we fished and talked with every other person out there and looks like we did as good or better than everyone else that was fishing only managed to get 5 keeper sunfish nothing bigger than 7.5 inches and only 2 crappies the biggest being 10.5 inches saw nothing bigger from any one else.
