Do the guides on mille lacs need the six pack license that the coast guard is enforcing?

There has been a number of articles in the paper media about this.
there was an up date in the StarTribune.com that stated a less restricted licence was going to be required?
It might in fact be needed very soon, just how soon some have said by this spring?

If you don't need the six pack license for a certain lake, do you need any other kind of license in minnesota to guide? Thanks for the help

Our border states have required a guiding license for some time....I think Minnesota will be on board with this soon also.

MN doesn't require a guides license??? Not a big deal to me, just kind of seemed to make sense that they would. Good fishing!!! Still dreaming of getting over there yet this ice season.
