Try Black water Lake just south of Longville MN.  They finally lifted a full ban and was needed as I think the DNR was purposely making it a Bass Pro Lake.  My parents live on the lake and its nuts.  The typical catch is around just shy of 4 lbs.  My brother and his son went up to the parents lake home 2 weekends and between both of them landed 138 one weekend and the other was 126 large mouth bass.  The largest was 22 3/4 inches and never weighed as it was catch and release unless under 12".   That bass was his sons catch and should and would have been mounted.  My girls love to fish but there a little young for these fighters and it spoils the easy dock fishing they love.  They can land some panfish but the sizes and quantities have been drastically reduced.  People say this lake or that lake is the best for this or that but im telling you......  when in season try it and Im sure ill be proved right.  They are so abundant i try to pike fish with large suckers and these monsters take them like candy.  Ive since had to drop a boat in other lakes just to get the pan fishing in (sun fish)  for the little girls.  The bass are good eating in that lake too.
