I had the opportunity to fish with Tony Roach this week.In short, we nailed them!We started off the day pulling rigs on the gravel and immediately caught a couple nice slot fish and a few over 20”.The winds died down and we had to be creative – pulling rigs, pulling blades, and yes throwing corks. The day ended with a limit of slots and many, many fish over 20" – the biggest being 27”.I encourage those of you that are like me – need a bit of help learning the lake and how to catch the elusive walleye, to book a trip with Tony – he’s awesome!!Thanks Tony and thanks Hunters Point for the ice cold Miller High Life(s).

Your are right about learning from the guides that fish more than the typical 5 -10 times a season, well worth looking into. I have not fished with Tony, but would love to someday.
I have been fishing Mille Lacs since 88, so 20 years now. I am fishing with Bob (Bobber) tourney fishing this summer and in 3 trips out with him I have expanded my knowledge of the lake and he has shared some of his ideas, set-ups, and patterns and why he does what he does and have learned about another 10 years experience from Him. Alot more to fishing the lake than you think I guess is what I am trying to say. Always something new to learn.
Great report Kent. I have not got into a tug with a 27" yet this year. Maybe this weekend.
